Yara, born Carla Berkachi, is a Lebanese pop singer, born on June 1, 1983 in Deir al-Ahmar, Bekaa, Lebanon.
Yara participated in Kas El-Noujoum in 1999, her strong voice and vocals grabbed the jury and audience, and she gained popularity since then.
Akhedni Ma3ak was the song that brought her to fame in Lebanon and the Arab World. In 2005, she released Twassa Feyi which included several songs that hit number 1 spots on Arabic music charts.
Yara has several music albums including Twassa Fiyyi, Enta Minni, La2ale2 Khalijiya (Khaleeji style). In addition to numerous hit songs like Twassa Fiyyi, Law Basseli, Hob Kbeer, Bahlam Bi Ainayk, Enta Minni, Hawel Marra, Wana Janbak, Sekar Zeyada, Sedfa and Khedni Ma3ak (duo with Fadel Shaker).
Yara participated in numerous concerts and festivals in Lebanon, Gulf Region and North America. She won several music awards, including the Murex d'Or Award for Best Lebanese Female Singer.
