Maya Nasri, born Maya Asmar, is a Lebanese actress and singer. She was born on August 14, in Miniara, Akkar, North Lebanon.
Maya started her career as an actress. She gained popularity as a singer after she participated in the Kas Al-Noujoum talent show, where she won a gold cup for singing Layla Mourad songs.
Maya rose to fame with the release of her album Akhbarak Eh, with hit singles singles Akhbarak Eh, Ya Waheshni and Khalini Biljaw that topped charts in the Arab world.
Maya released several albums and hit singles including Izzay Ta3rafni, Law Kan Lak Alb, Ana Bahtaglak, Habbit Hobb, Al-Asmarani, Rouh, Jayi el-Wa2t.
Maya acted in many Lebanese, Egyptian and Syrian TV series, movies and theatrical plays. She starred in movies like Code 36, Kharej 3an el-Qanoun, Bamboozia. She also starred in TV series like Sultan el-Gharam, Wikalet Atiyya, Rijal al-7asm.
Maya participated in many festivals and concerts in Lebanon, Egypt and the Arab World. She received many music awards, and was voted Best Arab Singer in several entertainment polls.
